As a 3D Artist, you will develop levels and a wide range of environmental, character or prop assets that support level game design, collaborating with leads and artists and following art director guidance to create realistic and stylized environments.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver the visual for game levels in creating in-game assets following art direction references, with respect to technical requirements.
Participate actively in establishing benchmarks in technical and visual quality and optimal cost of effort.
Collaborate with team members in a constant effort to improve overall quality.
Set ambitious personal goals to improve efficiency and meet deadlines.
Work closely with the Art Director and lead in establishing regulations and standards with the benchmarks.
Adapt art direction requirements to styles and pipelines required for the mandate.
Act as an example and be a role model for your peers.
Create a potential lighting presentation of characters.
Create or not limited to mood and feel lighting for open spaces or interior settings.
Compositing of create environmental, character and prop assets such a terrain, biomes (rocks, trees, bushes and small vegetation elements)
Edit and compose mood effects like and not limited to dust, water, natural light rays, etc.
Create in various styles, from realistic to stylized.
Create environmental gameplay assets with thorough attention to game technical requirements.
Use adaptive techniques to achieve the style target efficiently. (Surface, shaders and textures)
Technical Requirements
Must have experience in creating environments for game development.
Possess high experience in game engine integration and editing skills.
Proficient in standard software relating to AAA games (Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter and Designer, Unity, Unreal, etc.).
Strong environmental composition skills using art principles with game design.
Proficient in implementing and composition of assets in the engine.
Proficient with standard industry practices and techniques for environment creation (timesheets, tri-planar materials, lightmaps, masks, vertex painting, etc.)
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in English, spoken and written.
Have a solid analytical capability in understanding the final product and learning and adapting to achieve the expected quality.
