As a Lead Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting your team to achieve the highest standards of product quality and performance. Your role involves close collaboration with development and multidisciplinary teams to design, execute, and refine testing processes, while mentoring and empowering QA peers.
Gather, review, analyze, and document system and product specifications.
Collaborate with Development Leadership to define best practice criteria.
Work with multidisciplinary teams to design effective testing strategies and plans.
Support QA Analysts during onboarding and provide ongoing mentorship.
Validate development outputs, including acceptance, performance, compatibility, optimization, and content files, following established conventions.
Assess team strengths at the individual level and assign tasks to maximize efficiency and synergy.
Mentor team members to foster technical and professional growth, aligning with career development and organizational goals.
Set up and execute manual and automated test cases to verify product functionality against specifications and feature descriptions.
Develop tools, scripts, and automation processes to enhance QA team efficiency.
Participate in the design and implementation of test automation frameworks and pipelines.
Identify and report bugs, errors, failures, visual glitches, and bottlenecks, providing detailed repro steps and documentation.
Create and review comparative performance reports to evaluate and validate product build changes.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the entire development lifecycle.
Oversee Pre-Certification and Certification processes with platform providers, ensuring compliance with approval criteria.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within QA processes, tools, and workflows.
Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Proven technical experience in game or software testing.
Prior experience with testing and profiling on PC, console, and mobile platforms.
Previous QA leadership experience in a senior or lead role.
Proficiency with version control tools such as SVN, Perforce, and Git.
Proficiency in Python and at least one common game programming language (C#, C++, or C).
Experience testing and profiling on game console development kits.
Experience with console Pre-Certification and Certification processes.
Strong ability to investigate and document errors in detail.
Keen attention to both visual and performance-related aspects of products.
Familiarity with QA methodologies, tasks, and project criteria.
Experience with task management platforms such as JIRA or ClickUp.
Understanding of Agile frameworks.
Excellent communication skills, strong organizational and leadership abilities.
Proactive approach to supporting and motivating team members.
English proficiency: Upper Intermediate or Advanced (B1+).
Proficiency with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
Advanced knowledge of C#, C++, or C.
Experience testing and profiling on custom game engines.
Familiarity with performance benchmarking tools and telemetry systems.
Experience managing QA metrics dashboards and reporting to stakeholders.
